all this talk of electric cars and theyre not even really all that eco-friendly...


and i agreee that individuals can do very little about the environment other than by not patronizing companies that are the most hurtful to the environment. but most people dont give a rats ass and will continue to buy whatever they want anyway, regardless of the environmental impact. which is why the environnment is one area where i feel allowing the free market to regulate itself is not sufficient. people just plain dont care enough, theyre short-sighted, greedy, and selfish.

I could plant a whole forest - it wouldn't make a dent in carbon emissions. The reason people protest is to try and change govt policy. Because this is bigger than all of us. Bigger than individual nations even. In order to arrest the effects of climate change we we need a multinational effort... and it is gonna hurt the wallets of the wealthy.
