I'm tall and I demand people refer to me as a "higher" person. In other words... like so many have said: "where does it end".
I understand people who are living say, as a woman wanting to be referred to as she or her. I personally would be happy to refer to that person as such. BUT only on the condition that they LIVE as a she, 100% of the time (and only after the full surgery). Further, I don't think that a M2F trans should be allowed to compete against biological females. Lastly I think trans folk should have separate bathroom facilities.
For those folk still in the transitioning state, we need new pronouns. Something like shim for a M2F or herm for a F2M.
Last of all, this should be made into federal law immediately, AND, there should be no legal repercussions for those who make or may make mistakes.
As for the legal breaks, such as tax exemptions, etc., they should ONLY be awarded to those couples that can "naturally" have children. This is the reason the tax laws are the way they are. Tax breaks for rearing children. IF a couple of any sort, wants to adopt children, but can't naturally have children... that's on them, and because it was a "decision" rather than a natural childbirth, the costs of said adoption should also be.... on them. Just like if that couple had decided to have 4 cars, or 3 houses... etc.
There... problem solved.
/e This is just how I view this situation from a legal standpoint. Personally, I think people should just learn to be a bit more open minded.
Hot damn. Did you just choose some random thread to deposit a collection of misguided bigoted opinions into?
Giving benefits to people with biological children but not to people with adopted children... that's some of the most backward stuff I've ever heard. Your desire to twist everything according to the conservative agenda must be off the charts.
