Forcing someone to express a "male gender identity" that is completely fabricated by society is child abuse. Kids getting their asses beaten at the locker room for being who they are is just another example of this fabricated masculinity that perpetuates itself through systemic violence and child abuse. The dads teach their kids to behave this way.

Also, it's changed a lot in the past decade, for the better. I'm sure rural hellholes and places dominated by the culturally violent right still have issues with this, though.
