I have had two people attempt to murder me, both with knives when i was a door man, if they had guns id be dead.

If I'm gonna have somebody try to murder me, I'd rather minimize their chances of success.

Yeah... I'd take a gun (or phaser) over just about any other way to go... if I'm gonna get murdered.
