Well, what's Trump thinking with this move? I'm trying to look at a seemingly nonsensical decision and project some framework of logic onto it. You have a better explanation than mine?

A far simpler explanation. Trump has non-interventionist sympathies and is all talk, no bite.

Republicans are weak. They lost the WTC, bungled Iraq, gave Syria to Assad, allowing Kurds to be butchered....

We don't get hit as hard or lose as bad when the Democrats are in office.

This guy was previously envoy to Syria under Obama and Trump. Good person to follow on this issue.

Should mention the US being officially in charge of ISIS prisons. Them leaving and giving responsibility to Turkey is evidence of the invasion being part of the deal.

/e: How much time and money do you want to spend in finding a philosophical and practical solution about what to do about a conquered and imprisoned civilization of "terrorists".

Oh look leftists transitioned into interventionists.

Glad this evolution happened so now I don’t have to be conflicted between which party to choose because one was anti war while the other was socially conservative two issues most important to me.

I'm guessing from his simplistic view that, letting allies to be invaded is better than sustaining a second Guantanamo. If the Kurds, the EU and international co-operations don't take over the situation according to his demands, then fuck them.

Screw you guys, I'm going home.

I've always been against handing Syria back to Assad and allowing the Kurds to be butchered by Turkey after fighting with us for so long.

I don't care about your feigned personal conflict. There is a difference between being non-interventionist and being weak. I lamented the Obama administration as administering to the decline of the United States however this is much worse as at least Obama's balls dropped.

If I was Commander In Chief Assad's head would be by bin Laden's and Gaddafi's. I've never been shy about this. I am even an army veteran I would go myself.

A couple years ago you would be livid about this Mr. 180.

We will have no allies left after Trump.

I bet Taiwan is terrified right now.

Motherfucker lol. Congress needs to subpoena his tax records lol. Who else's pocket is our POTUS in? We know that he works exclusively with foreign lenders because American business won't deal with him after he was blacklisted.

Obama did the right thing by not involving us in Syria as much as people like you wanted him to and propping up a side so a war can rage on for another 5 years with hundreds of thousands of people dying. Inaction was the right thing to do and that’s why the war ended when the rebels realized Hillary won’t be sending gift packages because she lost the election.

We should stay out of places like Syria or Ukraine. You sitting comfortably on your couch in Ohio thinking you know something about a conflict and giving ‘reasons’ like wmds or supposed chemical attacks is irrelevant. I rather have a pussy for a president that values lives and our tax dollars vs one who peddles bullshit like bringing ‘freedom’ to every corner of the earth.
