Kinda depends on what DATE you're referring to.

/e Side note: Re-read the article. China is banning Arabic, Muslim symbols in all cities.

We all know why they're doing this, and it isn't to stop Muslim immigration. It makes about as much sense immigrating to China as a Muslim as it does moving to Nazi Germany as a Jew.

China is using Muslim extremism elsewhere to quietly fix a problem they've had for a very long time.

Did you notice? That's all in English.

And for the tards who think this is a free speech issue... Hello... McFly...

I don't care what the signs say, just as long as they say it in English.

/e You want to sit at home and speak Chinese all day long... go for it. But a public business in MY country, better have signs I can read.

so, to get you straight, you believe the first amendment only protects speech in english? while also calling us a slur.

Applauding chinese nationalism was an horrible mistake Ghot, but it's okay, no need to blame you for that. Maybe your education system which was too much specialized ?
China is "losing" its culture even without barring the way to others: urbanization, consumerism... We already know the output on arts & habits...

Well maybe, you just didn't comprehend...

Let's try again...

1st Amendment...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Exactly where in there does it say that this applies for all LANGUAGES?

/e Further... where does it say that this applies to signs on public establishments?

China lost its culture to communism. They're really a blank slate as a result of the Cultural Revolution and 'Great Leap Forward'.

What we see today is the purest form of fascism since WWII.

Corporatism? Check.
Jingoism? Check.
Militarism? Check.
Totalitarianism? Check.
