When people fail to see that the people on the other side are people. They will reason the exact same way we would too if the tables were turned and we faced an enemy armed to the fucking teeth conducting regular army exercises (show of strength) right at our border.

The only way NK can see to deter overpowering enemy attack is by arming themselves. Anyone thinking this is for offensive warfare (against the thousands of nukes of the enemy) is a complete fucking moron exhibiting complete failure to comprehend.

To me the whole "war with NK" smells like another "Invade Iraq cuz weapons of mass destruction". Iraq was easy though, without allies and outclassed on all fronts.

You mention China, which brings up the role of China in the Korean war and showed China was prepared to intervene when things got messy at it's border.
The Chinese are unpredictable and they have nukes that work and lots of them, unlike NK. If war breaks out and China is involved things could get very messy. Why would sensible countries risk such a thing.
