Depends how you define superpower. If we define superpower by size of the economy then yeah you’re right, but we’re talking about military capability. Fact of the matter is that in an all out war with Russia most of the US would be an irradiated* wasteland.

We’re worried about non functioning NK nukes yet you guys want to minimize Russia even thought they have the largest nuclear stockpile and the most advanced delivery systems.

So from what I understand, a big part of this was because China is not part of this treaty and they have been enhancing their nuclear arsenal. I just hope the US will be able to make a new treaty with more countries to replace this one.

I'm not denying a war between the US and Russia would destroy both countries and that it's highly undesirable, but in the long run Russia won't be able to keep up with technological advancements
