Honestly, he almost made it look too easy.
dont be silly. it was a very close race. trump won the "tipping point state" (which is the one that got him to 270+ votes if you line up all the states he won by his winning margin, in descending order) by a margin of just 0.7%.
2000 was of course the closest election ever, but other than that, 2016 was the closest election since 1960 if you go by what really counts, which is how much of a shift it would have taken to change the outcome of the election, instead of the raw electoral college margins.
