You're correct. After thinking more about this issue I have come to agree with Skinned, age restrictions suck. The lower age restrictions should be removed. It would help voter turnout if younger people ran but that isn't very likely.

in addition to removing the age requirement, they should also life the restriction on the species of the candidate
