I was in school at the time. My teacher turned on the tv to see what was happening. It was surreal and I don't think I really grasped what had happened until I got home and watched it on the news. I remember seeing people jumping out of the windows which made me cry. I also remember seeing on the news people from Lebanon and other middle eastern countries celebrating in the streets and some kid in a starcraft chat spamming "Die America die!"

I was like 12, didnt care.

I get that it was tragic and all...but seriously...3k people died in the whole event of the towers.
10x that die in JUST car crashes each year, in the US alone.
Hell, there are more suicides in this country, per year, than that.
RX overdose?
Illegal substance overdose?

I really don't understand the hangup on this one event, 12 years now after it happened.
Life goes on for the rest of us, stop dwelling on the past.

Oh, and for the pro-war reres in here, 3k people died in the towers, how many troops have we lost now b/c of the war we started over that incident?
Think about that. Our government tries to justify the death of 3k people, by sending even more people to die.

9/11 was not an act of war or terrorism, it was just a limited military action by al-qaeda with no boots on the ground
