Interesting little article, for my yankee friends here.

http://thoughtcatalog.com/2013/10-things-most-americans-dont-know-about-america/

What is your take on this? Most these points are simple fun little things, what about the bigger points towards the end?

Anti-American vitriol, nothing to see here.

Criticize God's country when you're vaguely comparable to it, not before.

Half his points rely exclusively on anecdotal evidence...

Obviously should be in scholarly journals everywhere now...

so the author is a self-hater, traitor or whatever else you want to throw at him?
is there a way to deny him his birth-right, ie the citizenship of the usa? or perhaps confine him to gitmo?
seems by holding up a mirror he has hit a lot of raw nerves judging by the responses in this thread
yes, he exaggerates to get his points across but does that make them fundamentally untrue?
not wanting to discuss every single point let me just highlight number 7 on his list
which is known around the world and proven over and over by posts on this forum
didn't you mention in other threads that security trumps personal liberties?

It was'nt all that bad. #2 was saying most of the world does not hate America. Which I already knew. Sadly some of them were true. But anybody could make a list for any country so it doesn't really matter so much .

I think he's a self-hating American, to be perfectly honest, and I don't think that makes his opinions more valid.

It's hard to say that Americans are too proud of their nation when it's the most dominant political force in the history of mankind.

Leftists hating themselves, their country, and origin more than the things around them—honestly is anyone still confused?

Nonsense.
America is not that dominant at all.
