...let's see if I can help you grasp it a little better .
Over 200 people jumped to their certain deaths rather than suffer the horror of being burned alive but before the media decided to exhibit a little respect we got to watch them jumping and 343 NYC firefighters died because they chose to walk toward the danger instead of run away from it .
You minimize the horror and dishonor the sacrifice of these brave men and women when you try to compare this national tragedy to any other event no matter the cost . By your reasoning we need not concern ourselves with any other disaster since so many people died of the black plague .
I never said we shouldn't concern ourselves with it. I was meaning it is miniscule compared to horrors that happen every day that we pay no mind to. I know there is a genocide in Africa where rape is used as a terror weapon and I don't bat an eye. A thousands of people die all over the globe from preventable diseases which put them in more pain than the 9/11 victims burning to death. It seems hypocritical to care about 9/11 but not care about the others. I don't mean to cheapen what happened on 9/11, but you cheapen genocides and rape by caring so much about it.
