Have a good watch. Ryan has done his homework.
Long story short, about 81 % or more Iranians wants their government to cease to exist.
It is up to you as viewers to decide how it should be interpreted.

The truth about Iran was that they had a senile king or shah. He'd rather let Europe exploit his people, kinda like Louis 14. His people wanted to get rid of him. The leaders were students. The US thought, let's use them to get rid of the shah and to install their own puppet. After the shah fled, islamists with weapons took over said fu to the US and the students (the weapons were provided by the US). Those students fled all around the world and were highly educated. They felt betrayed by the US and the international community. I know Iranians personally here. 2-3 generations later, the US is supposed to "help" Iranian people again by getting rid of another dictator

Those 2nd/3d generation kids outside of Iran have got no fucking clue about Iran itself, its people or the intention of the US. Of course, they'd support a "change". The grandson of that traitor shah is supposed to be the American designated puppet replacement of that regime in Iran.
History tells us, the US has never succeeded in bringing peace and prosperity anywhere with wars. I don't think it's going to be different this time around.
