it's in the constitution and second if you force someone to conform to your side it will never work. They have to choose to come to religion themselves, you can share the gospel to help them that is all. America was founded on Christianity and the founding fathers created the constitution.

However, is having religious classes in school the same as breaking the 1st amendment? Back when I went to school you could choose what extracurricular classes you wanted to sign up for, so I don't see what the problem would be here unless they're forcing kids to take the classes.

Well it's fine, you will just start becoming the Christian version of the Muslim countries sooner or later.

I took World Religion in school. History was a different class.

Seems simple that education should teach how to think and not what to think. Guess it isn't simple without a religious lens.

Why can't they teach civics instead of socialiststudies?

If it's directed at everyone, it's also directed at you. That seems fair

If the school your kid is going to is teaching belief systems in science like evolution, the big bang and natural selection then it would be balanced for the school to also teach these topics from the same religious viewpoint also.
Ideally public schools shouldn't teach about theories or beliefs on both sides of the spectrum but if they are going to it should be somewhat balanced.
Depends if the school is public or private though. If it's a private school they can be as one sided as they want aslong as it's not breaking the law.
