I'm quite familiar with MTG. I enjoy it a lot. But not modern MTG because it kinda sucks now. I know nothing about the culture surrounding it now nor do I really care. By the way, MTG players were always smelly whether they be left leaning or right leaning. I remember THAT much.

I think the banning of Jihad and Crusade are funny and kind of irrelevant from a gameplay perspective, but it's not like anyone who literally plays the game outside of sanctioned play even follows these rules. I have my own Jihad card in one of my dusty old binders. WotC can never take Jihad from me. It is the divine struggle.

Everything you're describing sounds like a dehumanizing term like any other slur. Just because it isn't on the same level as the n-word for example doesn't change the fact it's a slur targeted towards a minority, a minority which you're completely misrepresenting by the way. Race is an immutable characteristic you are born with, like sex, genetic abnormalities, age, being straight or gay. Religion is a protected status thanks to millenia of human history warring over invisible sky people, engrained in our cultural consciousness and the founding of our country. Radical transgender theories are quackery adopted by a tiny fringe of extant population that rejects the shared values of the hundred billion humans to have lived before them and the other 99%+ of the world's population who don't buy into their nonsense. The reasons for society recognizing slurs isn't arbitrary, just like the reasons for protections of actual persecuted minorities.

Even if you think transgenderism is a result of let's say, mental illness, that would still make them a vulnerable group that has been extremely persecuted throughout our history.
