I guess it was the pharmaceuticals
Lots of big things happening
This was confirmed as the announcement
Its worth pointing out Trump signed a similar executive order during his first term. In 2020 he rolled out a most favored nation pricing order that would tie medicare part b drug prices to costs in other countries, but it was held up in the courts indefinitely and Biden rescinded it, because he's Fuck You Joe. The new order in 2025 has a multi pronged approach. It orders the commerce department to take action to policies that lower drug prices abroad and bypass health insurance for direct to consumer sales. It gives a 30 day window for pharmaceuticals to lower prices or else face imposed pricing (without any apparent legal grounds to do so, which won't hold up in court). And it seeks to set the prices Medicare will pay to the same as foreign rates, same as the original 2020 order.
