Socialized education only began opt-in for northern states in the post civil war, only became compulsory across most of america by the turn of the century and mississipi was the last to require it- only starting with elementary school- in 1918. It mirrored the beginnings of our social state pre new deal. For the majority of our nation's history, there was no collective education mandate nor public expense to see it done. Its a good example of pooling taxes for the common good in a direct social benefit.

Don't be afraid to admit your position. If your solution is defunding public education, that's okay! I might even agree. As long as those illiterate kids have some other way to contribute to society.. cough, manufacturing? Hence why I voted for Trump. Twice. Although, automation will prove challenging if no one can read the manual.

I don’t think most would associate public primary education to be a great example of “socialist” agenda, at least in our current political landscape. Any first world nation must be collectively educated to some degree in order to be governed successfully.

What is your proposed solution? It’s more expensive to educate inner city kids living in poverty.

Reforming primary education to focus on the three R's & vocational skills instead of Marxist garbage & participation trophies would be a good start

Also removing black people from schools & setting up a separate system to educate them. Any of their presence in public schooling ruins the education of everyone else. Black kids need schools built & run like prisons to teach them discipline

Guy uses a severely corrupt country with a recent history of self appointed authoritarians as an example of why socialism is bad.
Plus the US government has been interfering with Venezuelan politics for decades anyways. Bad take.

And theres like only two socialists in the US government? Sanders being one
Most of congress and the senate is either center, center-right or far right.
And if Socialism is so bad then why does it work in many European countries?

Whats your solution then?
60% of Americans are facing poverty
The wealthy continue to consolidate wealth and make every day purchases more and more expensive
Donald Trump's tariffs will not help the US economy. They will only result in the buck being passed to you
Musk and Trump will continue to rollback hard fought rights by US citizens and workers

The far right isnt your friend unless you make 7 figures or more a year

You dont seem like you know that the US is a mixed economy and not socialist.
To be clear. I am not defending socialism. It works in some places and not in others.
Just questioning your foggy goggles.

All socialist countries are severely corrupt. In fact, all countries with any form of government are severely corrupt.
