All social media are no credible scource of information. There is no chance you can keep real news and fake apart. That's why it takes Quality media financed by a household tax, bypassing government and political influence.
The sad thing is, i don't have the feeling people want to hear anything that doesn't support their existing opinion and would call that fake news immediately.
All news, since the first roman Acta Diurna, has been biased. That's just intrinsic to the representation of information and the human condition. All the social media sites are biased for their own ways
Sure facebook and twitter are filled with spam, opaque algorithms, ai content, people spamming wildly false stuff or just schizos going on rants.
But Reddit is the one that really stands out for its incredible level of censorship and curation, it will hide truthful stories you aren't allowed to see and inundate you with liberal propaganda.
Lets say I went to the /r/minneapolis subreddit right now, where the top story is "Ilhan Omar has bigger balls that Musk and Trump combined", and praises her for speaking out in favor of illegal aliens.
And lets say I made a comment about how Ilhan Omar was born named Ilhan Abdullahi Nur Said Elmi and defrauded our immigration system with a fake family reunification visa for the unrelated Omar family, that she illegally immigrated to this country and obtained her citizenship under a false identity and has been very clumsily and ineffectively trying to cover it up since. At that point, would I receive a subreddit permaban or an IP rangeban from the admins? Takes less and less for admins to come after me these days.
