Your viewpoint is childish. Most business executives put time, effort, and investment into developing a presence in China. As well as sending labor overseas instead of prioritizing American made products.

The reality is a disparity in imports to exports will only grow. There is no real initiative to bring manufacturers of goods back to the US. Therefore, the fact that China makes up such a significant portion of the worlds GDP means that decoupling with them actively hurts the US unless you're wealthy.
