I don’t know what snapple is but it might be misquoting jefferson and pulling the misquote out of context.
“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
He was talking about Shays’ rebellion, which he did not support. His point was that the willingness and ability to rise up against your leaders is not a bad thing, even when it is misguided. I’ve read a few of your posts in the past couple days and this is a sentiment I believe you do not agree with. Here’s more from the same letter.
what about my posts makes you think I dont agree with this sentiment?

Thanks to Jefferson, Washington, and other great men, Shays and the rest of the rebels were pardoned and pacified. It seems to me that we have had the opportunity to apply this approach in our own time. Biden really muddled it. Now the guy that caused it has to pardon them, which will not help unite the country as it could have. It will not restore any credibility to the system, as it should have.
It’s depressing every time you realize that the reason people don’t learn from history is because they don’t put any effort into learning history in the first place.

Jan 6th was not over 'tyranny', it was a bunch of butthurt nimrods upset that their populist schmuck lost an election. their dear populist leader fueled their rage by touting false election fraud claims so they would lose trust in their government
it was NOT government tyranny that led to Jan 6, it was political rhetoric and conspiracy theories
its very ,very important to distinguish between people larping as 'patriots' to some perceived threat vs actual economic hardship up that led to Shay's rebellion.
i love how condescending you are about me taking this quote out of context when you are doing the very same thing but on purpose
