Joe Rogan is a conspiratorial, anti-establishment contrarian, who is sympathetic to a lot of right-wing arguments. That's why he gets very mad at Zelensky for trying to defend his country from an existential threat. It's not because he's a left-wing or right-wing ideologue, it's because the establishment supports Ukraine, Rogan hates the establishment and only talks to people who are anti-establishment, and thus his anger is directed at Ukraine for defending itself and not Russia/Putin for murdering and raping Ukrainians.

This is part of the reason I refuse to listen to Rogan, especially because he doesn't allow his dumbass viewpoints to be challenged by people. He refused to interview Zelensky and won't talk to anyone pro-Ukrainian. He's become a coward.

I think Kamala should've done it but it would've made no difference and it's more likely than not that it would've been bad for her. Rogan is a crank with right-wing sympathies, it's not like he would be friendly to her.

Spoken like someone who's never listened to Joe Rogan speak. Not only is he opinionated, many of his opinions I disagree with. He's still fun to listen to.

Why? Well, when he brings on a guest, he asks them questions and lets them talk. When they lie, he pushes back on the lie to try to get to the truth. He allows them their say. Sometimes he'll follow up with how he disagrees, sometimes he moves on.

Is your vision of "having an opinion" somebody who's going to cut off their guest before they finish a single statement and immediately starts berating them and calling them names? If so... Polite Reminder: MSNBC isn't doing too well these days. Nor are they a "source" much of anyone seeks to quote for anything other than conspiracy theory. BAD conspiracy theory.

Joe Rogan was always very left-leaning. Used to listen to the podcast a lot in the early days, was a regular on his forum for almost ten years. I don't listen much any more, but as far as I can tell his opinions haven't changed.

The political spectrum has changed a lot. Supporting free speech and opposing proxy wars suddenly makes you a conservative, for example. Those same things made you an annoying liberal 20 years ago...

Edit: Joe had a Carl Sagan quote in his signature on the forum. I just had a funny thought that Sagan had a lot of views that would have modern liberals attacking him.
