It's funny they are really direct when it comes to fat people.

They will say straight to your face you are fat. But in a good way, they will encourage you to slim down and go do sports or play ping pong with them.

It is perhaps a culture that cannot be accepted in the West. Actually it is not just the Chinese, all East Asians including Japanese, Koreans, Taiwanese etc etc all do it that way.

You are fat, you need to lose weight.
