I can think of ten more important things that the NPYD could be doing other than policing house pets.

I really wonder why. They must have been afraid of a rabies outbreak or something.

last i checked in nyc they cant even arrest for theft unless its a silly high number. nyc is cooked, hasnt even been a city worth visiting since they reverted from Rudy's cleanup.

This didn't happen in NYC, it happened in a very red part of the state where all of the elected officials including the sheriff and chief of police are Republicans.
