My point was pretty clear and I think you've brought up a valid adjacent point.
Other user claimed Desantis is under less scrutiny because he is no longer in the race, I pointed out that comes with the territory of running for potus.

And the distinction is important because voters have little say in what candidate is put forward by the party.
