I disagree they will have the numbers. Canada is still 70% caucasian. Its more than enough to organize and mobilize. But you are right, the rich live in bubbles and this doesn't impact them as much as everyday people. I.E. my parents are quite well off and have money to expend on high-end products. They seldom have to deal with a lower-end service so they don't see the massive decline.

Whereas me and my wife, even though we earn really good wages, we aren't at that stage so we need to still transact within a budget but I am increasingly finding that due to this mess, we are paying a lot more for reduced quality of everything.

I truly believe that if we take a short term hit and get really vocal and organize a ground game that is undeniable, we can assert much more power over the elected officials. this is the problem right now - the system is designed to keep everyone stressed and on a hamster wheel so they can't pay attention. they are fearful of losing jobs etc. because they've been brainwashed into going into massive debt for useless degrees, massive debt for spending, massive debt for a home they can't afford and are not taught basic financial literacy and money management.

however, if people are willing to undertake short term loss for long term gain and hold people accountable again. we could bring canada back from the brink.

Certainly feels vastly worse than in did 10 years ago watching my purchasing power totally erode away as housing spiraled out of control. 716k is now the average home price here and it's being widely accepted Canada has the worst housing issues in the First World. Quite the accomplishment. All this land and no housing, no infrastructure to support new housing including efficiently moving people around.
