There's levels to it. We in the US IMO are less fucked compared to Europe. You guys are a few generations away from converting 'Islamic Republic of ________' , already have shit demographics and completely uninvestable. Who in their right mind would want to own French debt when the retards are talking about lowering the retirement age to 60 with already running regular deficits. Here in the US we can at least somewhat protect ourselves by throwing money into the SP500 or Nasdaq. There's a reason why we're seeing huge inflows into American investments, If you're a sovereign wealth fund where/which assets would you rather own?
People in the US don't live as long as people in Europe, your birth rate is higher, and your productivity is higher. These are all good things for the future functioning of the state. That said, your budget deficit as a share of GDP is, to my knowledge, higher than any country in Western Europe. You're still right though, the US has a much better long term outlook than Europe.
