I can think of a few things worse like being shot in a classroom or overdosing on opioids that the government were complicit in rolling out en masse for profit.

276 classroom shootings death over a 20 year period between 2001-2021. Well over 50 million students annually. Anyone who makes decisions on something like that deserves to be ruled.

276 shooting deaths in 2 decades its utterly insane.
The fact you think that is normal or acceptable is frightening.

This guy's mad. Very mad.

Probably has purple hair and cries to people on social media about Palestine getting blown off the map like anyone cares.

School shootings account for fewer than 20 deaths per year. In a Country with 342 MILLION people living in it.

Oh gosh, what ever are we gonna do!? I mean bees kill like 5x more people each year. I guess we've got a bee problem too.

Don't get me wrong I'm just playing devils advocate. It's great to celebrate ancestors getting independence for the nation a couple centuries ago. Wouldn't it be even better to celebrate nobody getting shot at an elementary school for a whole year, like damn.
That's probably the highest school shooting rate per capita of any country.
Dude people die or bees in lots of countries. Not many countries have 20 kids a year average killed in school shootings.

Jesus christ.

"6. In 2022, 34 students and adults died while more than 43,000 children were exposed to gunfire at school.4 There is help for victims and survivors of gun violence."

43,000 kids exposed to gunfire in a single year. And that's not problematic. What the fuck.

Nearly 8000 Brits died of alcoholism in 2022 alone, 1700 died in car crashes, and 200+(!!!) died in swimming accidents, and a quick lookup tells me that nearly 80,000 died as a result of smoking, but what terrifies you is that there are 14 deaths annually related to firearms in schools in a country 5x the UK's size.

Man, you have absolutely no concept of population differences or understanding of how low that actually is considering there are 340+ million citizens in the U.S. and more citizen owned guns than there are people lol. The whole school shooting U.S. thing is just the media shoving that shit down people's throats making it seem like it's happening in every city all the time.

You can throw raw numbers around all you want. Again, you're talking about a country with 340+ million people. 75+ million are kids.

43,000 of the 75 MILLION kids. That's 0.05% which puts a damper on your outrageous argument as if every kid is out there dealing with gun violence.

The truth hurts. This is reality. I'm doing nothing but educating you on the ZOMG SO MANY SCHOOL SHOOTING deaths bullshit. That's literally a drop in the bucket with U.S. deaths.

In reality, considering how many people live in the U.S. and how many civilian owned guns there are (more than 1 gun for every civilian), it's simply overblown. Does it suck when it happens? Definitely, we can all agree it's horrific. But is it as big of an issue as you make it out to be? No.
