How many of you people in support of the death penalty are okay with getting a few wrong in order to get the rest?

How many coward are okay with letting rapists roam free because they can't follow through on justice?

Its a bit of a distraction isnt it? The Trump administration under Barr expedited the execution of child murderers. But they otherwise all had life in prison with no parole. Its not that big of a difference. If 4% of people sentenced to decades in prison are innocent, thats a travesty too. Our criminal justice system is broken enough that we should care about actually putting away people we can prove are guilty and setting free those we can actually prove are innocent, which seems a very low bar but we don't meet it

Yes.

It is not perfect. But it makes criminals think twice.

Death Penalty only for the most extreme crimes and certain drugs.

A rough idea of what I think.

It makes a fair amount of would be criminal think twice. Especially in nations that are smaller in size. Might not work in certain countries due to cultural and political ideology.

Is it even possible to prove if they are accurate systems? What mechanism would work?

No, I think the state should not have means to kill its own citizens. The only exception is a law enforcer involuntarily killing someone who is in the process of killing or severly injuring someone else, and even that should be subjected to due process.
