a child of a rape victim is innocent though, why kill that kid over the rapist's actions?

i'd say give the rapist the death penalty instead. throw a fcking lightning fury bolt at him

I mean that's into the realm of whether you think an unborn child is alive to be killed. In the way that we view killing in society.

We may not actually disagree on that.

It's more about what kind of life will that child have and what are the knock on effects for society and future generations.
Is it perpetuating suffering for mother and child.

To steelman an opposing point would be something like, well why not take a chance? The child could beat adversity.

As for death penalty for rape. In theory absolutely. Practically, not at all. With all fake accusation and poor conviction rate of actual rapists it probably would be a mistake.

Causing it? No.
Contributing? Absolutely.

Could you explain why you think you know better than a pregnant woman, whether her socio-economic situation would lead to a safe and productive environment for a newborn child?

And by a pregnant woman, I really mean any and every pregnant woman.

I didn't even reply to the OP but if you want my opinion on abortion I'd say that rape should be a clearcut exemption and abortion allowed of course.

That said, homes drug addict crisis hits every level of society both rich and poor and is fueled by liberals decriminalizing drugs, thinking that it's because of conservative anti abortion laws is mental lmao. You are truly lost sir

Oh you almost had a point but ended up attacking me
Why are you not confident enough in your debating to just do that? Shame.

Most drug use leading to social problems are either illegal or its actually alcohol.
Linking drug use and the anti-abortion trope is threadbare as fuck.

Could you explain why you think you know better than a pregnant woman, whether her socio-economic situation would lead to a safe and productive environment for a new-born child?

Or you can't?

Did I hurt your feelings again? Because I point out your ridiculous stance?

Like I said I didn't reply to the OP and I didn't link abortion to drugs but now you insist on discussing that, I'm sure many more unwanted children are born because of drug use and many cases of rape actually resulting from drug use than all other cases of rape combined.

BTW I already said my position is that rape victims should be able to get an abortion

So you believe more unwanted children are born because of rape than unwanted children born because of all the drug related problems?

That's a yes right?

Your straw manning and conflating two issues.

You've avoided answering this question twice, this is not solely about children conceived because of rape.

Try again

Could you explain why you think you know better than a pregnant woman, whether her socio-economic situation would lead to a safe and productive environment for a new-born child?

I'm straw manning your own argument? lmao

I don't answer rhetorical questions. I never said I know things better than pregnant women. If I did, link my post. Do it now, I'll wait

And yet your anti-abortion? Or at least pro abortion laws.

So your saying you know better than a pregnant woman, whether her situation is conducive to a positive outcome for that woman and her child?

I didn't even reply to the OP, I didn't argue the abortion law. How many times have I said this now?

And you failed to link the part I asked for.

Link it and if you mage to do that I'll answer your rhetorical question
