guess helping shovel snow when it reaches 2-3 feet, clearing leaves, rubble, and working with property management to keep down maintenance fees is just not enough for people to be considerate.

My neighbors babysit my kids on occasion, help with snow /leaf removal , dropped me off soup last year when I had flu. All round good people

the best place to live is where there aren't people. not like zero people, but low density. gtfo of cities man. my "town" is unincorporated. has a gas station/post office/feed store. only business in town other than a bar/restaurant on the edge of town. its great.

this is how it works where i grew up. (about 25 mins away from where I currently live). there was so much sense of community that every neighbor would help out each other if anything needed to be done (i.e, if noticed a garbage bin was left unruly by the collector, they would pick it up and bring it back).

these people are probably in their 40s? will have to see how their attitude changes once the property manager starts issuing them notices of violations.


yeah, i think this is the goal lol but needed due to proximity to work. (wife works at the hospital so need to be close for her)

Suburbs for life

This. Moved from inner city to suburbs recently. Very quiet, literally have all stores and other amenities within a 10min drive.

Ghetto behavior like OP described is real and even if it makes him racist to post the race doesn’t change the fact that this type of behavior is observable all across mid-large cities across the US.

There’s really no dealing with it, only way is to just get away an insulate yourself by living in a higher tax jurisdiction or go out to the boonies

Would rather jump off a cliff than live in a suburb or city. I did university in a city because there's little options otherwise and ill never live around a metro area again. Suburbs are just as bad. Just a bunch of pretend keeping up with the jones people.

But that's just my perception, and how i feel, obviously I know there's lots of people that love it and cant think about living anyway other than that. Also I appreciate those people because it means they are not flooding elsewhere. People have to live somewhere after all.
