That's part of shedding your Ego in my opinion and it's also easier said then done.
The whole reason I got involved with this philosophy is that I had a near death experience when I was 19 years old and experienced what's known as "ego death".
Most people don't ask themselves this question until they are on their death bed. Am I really just this person/name/life lived or am I something entirely different.
You cannot have a near death experience if you have chosen life over death, and if you have chosen life over death you would know that the body is a caravan for your spirit and your spirit would live on and truly you could not have a "death experience" you would just pass over.
