Was Trump actually convicted of insurrection? I don't recall seeing anything by speculation news on this.

The Colorado court just ruled - in a non-criminal case - that Trump did engage in insurrection on Jan 6 in a 4-3 vote, persumably along partisan lines. And then concluded that the Colorado code of elections therefore leaves no other choice than to bar Trump from appearing on the primary ballot. The far bigger implication, however, is that the same logic - if upheld! - would necessarily bar Trump from appearing on the general election ballot in Colorado as well. Not that it would change much, he's not gonna win that state anyway, nor does he have to, but this still sets a very dangerous precedent.

The article already mentions that this case is guaranteed to go to the Supreme Court.

why is it that right wingers are still trying to downplay what happened? over three hundred people went to jail and/or prison because of their part in Jan 6. these lawless criminals were instigated by the fucking president of the United States.
