Again, I can acknowledge that there's been positivity out of something and still call someone a piece of shit. How do you not understand that, its like your brain cant comprehend.

You can have your edgy takes on people, that's your prerogative. (which unsurprisingly aligns with team current thing hate, which I find really fascinating that Elon was mostly viewed as an apolitical/neutral tech entrepreneur for the longest without much hate until he started speaking out against some of the current woke ideologies in the last number of years, now he's enemy number two only behind orange man)

My point is that's not how he will go down in history. When people talk about the pyramids today or the great wall of China, people don't get fixated on the hundreds of thousands of dead slaves or plebs that died building them or try to somehow take away from the grandeur of that accomplishment based on morals or what it took. What silly thing to judge progress on.

You can choose to view someone like MLK as how he is framed and remember by most, as this great civil rights leader in the US or you can be that edgy neckbeard constantly highlighting how he cheated on his wife--as if that somehow detracts from the former. It's really not much different with Elon Musk. Guy pioneered EVs and I'm hoping by the time he dies he builds some great progress on rocket/space travel. And this is not because I'm such a huge fan of this, more so I'm just excited about humanities progress. This by far supersedes criticism around his dad or treatment of factory workers. The hilarity is pretty much any corp that has outsourced supply chains are guilty of much worse treatment of workers compared to Tesla with workers in very safe and well developed jurisdictions in NA and Europe. But who cares about those other guys, they aren't targets of the current thing.

Also you're entier stance on history, you might want to rethink that. Fact is you can already see a huge shift, call it woke if that helps you sleep at night, but people are starting to remember people not just for their successful endeavours but also how they got there.

History books are not going to look like what they were when we were kids that's forsure. There's already clear evidence of that.
