Morally good side argument is
hype du jour in my opinion as historically speaking US proxies turned out to be disposable (Saddam, Osama, ISIS fighters and now Khalifa Haftar - Langley, Virginia educated commander of Lybian independence fighters turning against Americans, what a bummer). Once you’ve played your part and interests were no longer aligned US disposes of you.
I struggle to understand why there seems to be little to no concept of compromise and seeking to understand each other. Why does it have to be an “us or them” situation.
US has no business supporting conflicts literally on the other side of the world with countries that have little to no political or economical ties with them. Why not support Tigray for instance in their just fight for independence?
