Whats strange for me is that I didn't think this was that big of an issue but there's thousands of protestors and thousands of counter protestors which makes me wonder if I've missed out on something significant.

A friend of mine told me yesterday that his 4 year old said boys can get married to boys. I mean sure that's true but why is time in class being devoted to that topic at the age of 4? Does seem like a perfectly fine topic to explore around the age of puberty.

Parents should be the worst part about teaching, they have the most reason to be critical of a teacher and they may be wrong sometimes but it doesn't matter because it is their child, not the teachers or the governments. If teachers can't handle that they should find an profession that doesn't involve other peoples children.

What is being a good parent exactly? Do you have a step by step guide of how to raise your child so as to be immune from societal pressures and propaganda? I assume it would be a massive tome of information so I doubt you want to write it all out here, but maybe you should get that published.

What about stupid people? Should their kids be doomed to a backwards education because they didn't mentally condition their child for the public school system?

It seems like you always play devils advocate for the establishment position on basically every issue I've seen you talk about, why downplay these peoples anger? Do you think having this stuff in schools is beneficial for anyone?

I have friends that have spouses who teach, one of them specifically teaches grade 7 and my friend relayed this message from his spouse before heading to school to teach: "How do I look? Will my students think I'm cute?"
Teachers are not to be trusted. Just because you went to college/university and obtained a diploma doesn't mean you fit the criteria to be curating your idea of what my child needs.

she knows because a part of the evaluation for her program is done in their home, where a part of the evaluation is a question asking about the books they read to their kids to get info collected for literacy and speech ratings.

i would guess after reading that you'd feel silly, but u wont.
