Yeah, betting on his rise to prominence via the online and meme crowd. While I'd say that was not a good bet, it worked out for republicans in 2016 so who knows it might have traction yet.

IMO, meme trolling JT as a political strategy in Canada is only appealing to Alberta for obvious reasons and to the conservative voters stuck on social media that never have and weren’t going to vote liberal anyway. I don’t see how that’s going to gain new voters.
Regardless who is elected, it’s going to be governed by an NDP/LIB coalition.
