even in the absolutely poorest area in america they're still blessed. they still get welfare they vote to get rid of, have a car in most cases, roof over their head, and no roving bands of violent thugs who will steal their kid.

3rd world isnt even the benchmark id want clears, its 3rd world conflict zones that really make me feel blessed. and millions live in those in a constant state of fear and turmoil.

Sounds like you're not so much comparing 3rd world as you're comparing the worst parts of the third world.

Third world can be Brazil or it can be Somalia.

I'd rather live in lots of 3rd world places rather than go super rural USA.

At least I'd have access to a dentist.

But I'm talking like the worst of the worst. It's a spectrum. My point is just there's lots of places in the USA that are worse than the average of a place like Brazil.

i'd personally rather live in bumfuck Mississippi than brazil. but i suppose if you swing it to the furthest end of the spectrum a good argument can be made.

I know people from Brazil and it's not like a hellhole lol. There's research labs, universities, factories, etc. People... live.

Often comfortably.

Brazil is a 1st world country (although 1st, 2nd, 3rd world country terminology is deprecated)

Certainly correct that many parts of the US are much worse than many parts of Brazil

is right about the real violence in other places of the world (Africa mostly). Everything in the US pales in comparison

First and second refer to alliances during the cold War specifically in regards to the Warsaw pact.

Third world are unaffiliated countries, of which Brazil is one.

Yes, but the terms don't really mean anything anymore now that the cold war is over, Brazil is a normal fine country for the most part

I like how you say they don't mean anything right after you assert Brazil is a first world country.

Although I'm getting mixed info depending on the source. Wtf Warsaw pact.
