What is the justification for invading Poland and Baltic countries?

LPR and DPR are purely theatrical and the only way Russia would’ve been able to fully conduct their “special operation” in their own legal court… which is also theater. Minimizing the damage done internally, even though it seems that everyday some poor sob partakes in a “tragic accident” after saying something questionable in the Kremlin’s eyes.

It’s no secret this is all about gaining territory. As the Russian bot troll has already said, they want soviet era borders and control.

Personally I think it’s Putin’s last hurrah to be solidified into history books, before he dies. I’ve read a couple of his essays and listened to his early speeches… unless the translation is off, he is obsessed and always has been obsessed with taking back Ukraine. “The worst tragedy of the 20th century is losing Ukraine after the Fall.”
He believes Ukraine to be the birthplace of Russia.

Drive Nato away, they say they never accept any other except for Germany. We have agreement when we let East Germany join West. America use that Russia become weaker for 10 year and start adding country to Nato by handfuls at time

Parroting is not understanding. This kind of rationale is just the part of the list of main points for the propaganda campaign plan.
It gone even partially obsolete or deepply self-corrected along with the special operation when Putin publicly said it was to expand russian territory, as example.
Mostly claimed initially was that Russia was freeing Ukraine from so-called Nazis and preventing genocide, but later (6 months later) he said it was his destiny to "return and reinforce" Russia like Peter the Great did...

So what's the rationale ? The false claims or the real internal motives ?...

If sovereign countries entered into, and remain, in NATO, why do you think Russia (or any country) has justification for invading them?



I don't know Elite's personal views of the situation, and was asking for the general consensus on what the rationale being used is--which he provided. Whether that rationale is rational is a different consideration.

I think Putin wants to restore the Russian Empire, and incorporate all regions that are ethnically and linguistically Russian. He would have a really hard time getting Poland or the Baltics back.

Makes sense that Ukraine is important as the Kievan Rus was the birthplace of what we consider Russian/slavic civilization

Every point I made is factually correct, and I don't have an opinion on whether the war is justified. Neutral observer. By choosing to stick your head in the sand and plug your ears yelling "THEY BAD WE GOOD WHAHHH!!" is not how you end wars and death, it's how you start it.

No thing like sovereign nation, is for stupids to believe. There are America(Nato) , Russia(USSR) and China.

We say in 1989, ok we give you east Germany as obvious people there germans and not our mentality, even they can join nato, BUT NOT STEP MORE, Usa say ok ok of course we promise. Ok it happens, but uncle Sam decides to still grab country into nato while Russia was weak and corrupt.

Now Russia strong and its take back what belong to ours, if those country not want to be just neutral on our border and threaten us by place atomic weapon on their ground. We will come and crush their countries and rebuild it into neutral country
