I don't think Americans are particularly sheep-like, if anything I think they are naturally rebellious but I think the introduction of mass media and the internet was particularly damaging to American culture for whatever reason.

I dont believe in Aliens flying around near our atmosphere, but the statistical probability of other life forms not existing anywhere in the universe is close to mathematically impossible.

Gods on the other hand are a collection of fantasy stories and coping mechanisms of humanity and will remain to be just that and nothing more as long as no scientific, recreational, testifiable evidence in favor of those claims is brought up.

I agree with you that other life forms being in the universe is almost a statistical certainty.
