It's really impossible to say how ready the Ukrainians are or aren't to launch a counter-offensive. They've been badly bloodied by the political calculation that it was necessary to hold out in Bakhmut. 95% of news reporting is regurgitated propaganda and can't be trusted.

Seems they are finishing training on various systems but since also invaders did alot of damage, it's largely possibile they hold more time (more than end of mud season in 1 month) before counter attacking.

Politics and medias?

Russian complelely failed they large second offensive. Not even Bakhmut despite the efforts. I'm curious about political consequences on their own side when they will start to lose ground. More nuclear threats i guess. More TV debates if Ukrainians should be 'Eliminated or Re-Educated' ... ? Not sure because they are already at stage today. So what they will say ?

What's really happening? No one knows.

Invader's 2023 offensive failed, it's a big status quo now. And it's not going better in future, if they are still trying.
