Trudeau tried to save face, tried to talk tough after the big dog had left the room. He
pretended to be tough, at Trump's expense.
As much of an unhinged moron as Trump might be, he is a guy who gets the broad policy issues and the broad ideas right, and who to be taken seriously. Trudeau, on the other hand, is simply a joke and an embarrasment. And slowly, the Canadians seem to realize it. Look, for example, at the results of the recent Ontario elections (Ontario is accounting for one third of the Canadian population and 40% of Canada's GDP):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ontario_general_election,_2018Doug Ford, the trumpian leader of the Ontario conservatives, who by the press had often been labelled as "Trump light", has increased his party's seat count from 27 to 76, enough for a majority government. Meanwhile, Trudeau's Liberals dropped from 55 seats down to just 7, an unmitigated disaster, their worst result in over 15 years.
His party was just demolished in Ontario, he will lose his head bowing to the Quebecois.
You guys are mixing provincial politics with federal.
