you are right, there are cases when people literally can't work. but there are still so many people are just lazy and I don't want my pay check supporting their food stamps. If a cheetah is nipping at your butt, you are going to move. Take away food stamps. people will move. Can't work? prove it then yeah give food stamps. I lost 50 lbs cuz I did something about it instead of complain that I was fat.

to be fair alot of homeless have been known to turn down job offers. Its not always because they are lazy or prefer panhandling tho. Sometimes they have drug/alcohol problems that they know will prevent them from keeping a job, or it could simply be the shame of not having the adequate number of outfits to start a job. Mental state also plays a large role, theres a woman here who has had her children taken away from her for neglect but she claims begging is god's path he has chosen for her, so while her children grow up in a foster home she spends each day on the corner at walmart constantly turning down job offers.

could very well fit into the mental insanity or could have just been the offhand excuse the person chose instead of "i dont think you'll like it when you find me shooting up heroin behind the dumpsters when i was supposed to be cleaning."

It was a job of the blow variety. If he keeps asking I'm sure he will be more successful.
