I think this is a lot of what Trump's unhappiness with the current trade deals is all about.
It's like his major complaint with the United Nations. There are 193 country members, yet we pay 22% of the UN upkeep.
I'm not suggesting we abandon everyone else, but these trade deals that were acceptable, need to be rethought.
