oh sure, you totally have 'arguments', you just 'choose' not to bring them forward, and rather resort to rage posts filled with petty insults. you 'care' so little that you keep doing that and then explaining why you allegedly do it, lol. makes perfect sense, kid. whatever you have to tell yourself i guess...

We have long established the fact that you are a hateful TDS anti-intellectual below contempt that doesn't even consider arguments. Waste of time.

you repeatedly absolve him of any personal responsibility for his actions, and continue to do so. your delusional rant from earlier might be THE textbook example for that kind of apologism, blaming his misleading and incompetent response on virtually everything BUT him. apparently you don't even realise that, which i'm not entirely sure if that makes it better or worse...

Our system isn't very personal, it's institutional. The system has a layered structure. No person gets to operate with impunity.

All hail the sacred and all-mighty economy. We must offer Boomers at the altar as sacrifice for this noble cause. We do these things to help keep the stock market strong and to help Trump get reelected. Amen.

'the system isn't personal', therefore the president is immune to personal responsibility for repeatedly misleading the public? do you have any idea how stupid that sounds? no matter how much fluff you add to muddy the waters...

you just can't do it, can you? there is not a thing trump could do that you would hold him accountable for, is there? this is hilarious...

around 10.2 million people work in the aviation industry directly. These jobs are: Airport operators: 525,000 (work for the airport operator) Other airport-based roles: 5.6 million (retail, car rental, customs and immigration, freight forwarders and catering)

This is just one sector that's affected that if they didn't get gov't help would go under. Vast majority of these jobs would be lost if we did nothing. Now think about the domino effect. Those 10 million people earn money and go buy food, clothing, cars, etc in other industries. What happens to those industries?

and this is just ONE affected industry. The oil industry has another 10 million people. There's the hotels, cruise lines, etc. Do you you really not understand cause and effect or are just trolling?

Yes, if he did something personal and operated outside the system. But that hasn't happened yet. So far, the extent to which he "misled" is consistent with role of working within the system. No different than a defense lawyer trying to mislead the jury.

I don't think most people are necessarily opposed to financial assistance to companies, per se. Airlines are being criticized for spending vast amounts of their cashflow on stock buybacks and a lack of oversight in the funds being provided though.

Fair criticism and something to consider changing as we move on, but no we shouldn't let 3/4 of these companies fail because the regulatory system is flawed. What companies do you know that can afford to essentially incur payroll costs, debt obligations, etc for months (maybe up to a year) and bring in no revenue and be expected to remain solvent?
