He was carrying an AR 15 semiautomatic assault rifle weapon of war, which due to its size is clearly more and more dangerous as the range reduces, and of course also as it increases, Dom Black shot targets at 75 yards, which is obviously important, and i bet he used a laser sight to do it, lasers work great at that range, i bet.

So the current testimony is mind-numbingly boring. I believe I understand why it's happening, but it really seems like a bad strategy for the defense to bore the hell out of the Jury with a bunch of tech jargon. Leave that to the prosecution, they've been doing great at prejudicing the jury against them thus far.

i dont hate the approach, defense is trying to counter the cross line of questioning in which Binger tried to get Kyle to admit to making specified, intentional, and targeted decisions.

the 4 shots on rosenbaum were inside of 1 second, between 1 and 2 it was .26 seconds. not an eternity to ponder the risk of safety Kyle faced, as Binger tried to categorize it.

Binger seems terrified that the jury learn exactly how fast all of this happened. He definitely doesn't want them to know that it was under 3 minutes from "Friendly friendly friendly!" to Kyle's attempt to surrender to the police.

He wasted the jury's time over single frames that literally happened in a tenth of a second. Having the events shown as being incredibly fast destroys what's left of the State's already terrible case.

To reword: The state's case presents things in such a way that for all the Jury knows, the violent events transpired over hours. The 4 shots to drop Rosenbaum might have been minutes apart, rather than all occurring within a second or two total.

This objection must go Binger's way, or all of his nonsense yesterday prejudices the jury against him.

This is such a stupid fucking objection in the first place. He wants the witness to be allowed to testify to the duration of event A, event B, and event C. But not to the duration of events A, B and C combined. Because of some chicanery where they submitted an order saying he could only testify to the duration of events A, B and C, not events A, B and C combined.

I really wonder if Binger has alienated the jury as much as he has alienated every other person in the room and every person watching the livestreams

Binger is a changed man, he now respects orders on admissible evidence. we have to respect progress guys.
