Nobody is suggesting the election was "rigged", although there is definitely evidence so far that Russia at least attempted to breach our election system during the 2016 election.

It entirely depends on what you mean by "rigged". I think if Comey kept his mouth shut and didn't announce the reopening of the investigation, Hillary would be president. Comey had no intention of swaying the election, but he did. There was no intent to sway the election though.

On the other hand, Russia interfered seriously to damage Hillary, and in such a close race, they may have made the difference. I don't know if that qualifies as rigging the election... that word implies some systematic, insider shady business.

Either way, what Obama said is completely accurate. There's no evidence that some "deep state" in America is rigging elections.

They arent rigging elections. They are pursuing their own agenda and blackmailing other branches of government to try to enforce their will.

No reasonable prosecutor would conclude that Russia was trying to swing the election
