Someone took the time to explain Trump Derangement Syndrome and attempted to formulate a news article on it.

Enjoy.

Disagree. It's just more welcome from women than it is from men, and more socially acceptable for men to take the locker room talk into the public.

I think it's more socially acceptable for women to take locker room talk into the public than men. If a man and a woman each made a crude sexual joke at work, I think the man would be more likely to get in trouble. There's a lower threshold for men (less socially acceptable).

Additionally, I think that are men are not only more likely to engage in crude sexual conversation than women but are also more likely to act upon their ideas. Men are more sexually aggressive than women.

So young, so naive

The idea that women and men think about sex at the same frequency was simply wishful thinking on the part of mid-20th Century male psychologists.

Men think more about sex than women. Men also seek out sex more often than women.

Women are pressured more to not express sexuality. It's not really a "get in trouble" thing as to which is more socially acceptable with regard to bringing the talk out of the locker room, but who will be judged more by their peers. Women get the slut label and men don't. And it's usually applied by other women, not by men.

It's still pretty hard to get a guy in trouble for making sexual remarks unless it's really overt.

Men are probably more likely to act on their ideas since we've been conditioned to always need to make the first move. It kind of goes both ways in that women don't have to fear rejection since they don't make the first move in dating situations, but that also means they have to deal with the onslaught of men making advances.

I don't want to say any of this justifies sexual assault or harassment. Somehow 99% of men never cross the line so I have very little sympathy for those who do.

I have the feeling that the "line" is moving, and women want it to move. Women want the world to be a matriarchy.

The line has been pretty clear from the start. It's just that it appears to be "moving" now that men are increasingly being called out for stepping over.

"Women" aren't a unified force, so your comment is pretty silly.

I'd bet everything I own, that 75% of those #metoo accusations are a load of crap.

I'd say that 70% are easily women that took the couch route to "get ahead" then decided to use the #metoo movement, to get further ahead. Especially the ones with actors, directors, politicians etc.

As I asked before, how come we don't see thousands and thousands of these cases against just, the jock in school, or the boy next store. Why, because there is nothing to gain. :/

It has nothing to do with harassment, but the biggest line that changed within the past generation is employment.

Before, if a woman wanted to be happy she would have to marry a man and support the marriage to have a stable house.

Now women can "work" comfortable office jobs with no danger or inconvenience and then go home and watch TV while their lives waste away alone while calling it a life.

The moving line that ghot is talking about is a result of those same women being bored and having nothing else to complain about, so they look for fights to start. They get otherwise good men in trouble to make an example of them because they believe it supports some grand cause that will somehow eventually make women better off. Third wave feminism IS cancer. This is what we're seeing on wall street and on college campuses and its going to end up hurting women instead.

Back to the first point, were watching the seams of the family fall apart and what will replace it isn't good.
