Gatta admit, pretty amazing Mitch didnt join the hit squad out to mess with the PA vote. Much less lead it.
because he's (unfortunately) smart. he knows that trump has lost and it's time to abandon that ship (without trying to anger his base though). it'd be idiotic to lead an obviously fraudulent effort to steal the elections, especially one that has so little chance of being successful, seeing how little trump has in terms of substance to support his predictable claims, that even a majority of trumptards realise he lost, just don't want to admit it publicly.
mitch has done much greater damage to the american democracy than trump, and he has done so smartly, quietly, and largely hidden from the direct public eye. he knows how to play the long game, i'd be shocked if he took a prominent role in supporting the orange fascist's last attempts to hold on to power... trump was a great tool for him, but he knows that it has lost its usefulness.
now it's about directing trump's base into the right direction. i expect mcconnell and republican leadership post trump to mainly focus on the 'communist / socialist' narrative, rather than immigration or religion - as it has proven rather successful in florida.
