Deserve is the wrong word, because the liberal concept of fairness has no sway on who gets what in a capitalist economic system. People who are dumb/lazy won't get ahead, simple as that. Rewarding mediocrity is a recipe for failure.

I'm curious seriously how do you measure success?

as my time here grows shorter I weigh different things, and it's interesting to get different aged peoples thoughts as far as where they are in their life journey.

Success is achieving what you set out to do.

People who perpetually hold minimum wage jobs either don't have the ability to do better or lack the motivation to do better.

Everybody looks so happy in the picture. Only a real scumbag and miserable person would look at that picture and see anything negative.
